Sue Senk, and her sister Cindy and their husbands started Senk Farms in 2008. It began as a one acre, raw piece of land without water or services. The family had no experience with farming other than raised bed gardens in their backyard. Within 6 months, the farm had developed a roadside stand with a local following. Currently the farm sells vegetable, herb and flower starter plants, fresh produce, jams and jellies and other homemade products. It also has a “pick your own” strawberry patch.
