Terry Nieves aka Seaweed Mermaid

Terry Nieves has been a wild ocean food provider for over 13 years.  As owner of Ocean Harvest Sea Vegetable Company, she offers a wealth of knowledge about seaweeds and their nutritional value.  Terry is also an educator and directs a Mendocino Countywide nutrition education and gardening program in the schools.  
 

 

SUN 1pm: Seaweeds and Human Health
Participants will learn how to use wild, raw seaweeds in many ways, from eating them - to bathing with them! Terry Nieves will share with you facts about the health benefits of seaweeds, as well as why eating locally harvested seaweed improves your health and that of the planet.
